Women of Wood is the third installment in the 4-part series, The Lull Before the Storm.

Women of Wood is based on a set of interviews with women whose lives revolved around the province's largest industry in the 1930's, the 1940's, and the 1950's: the wood industry. Women of Wood concentrates on living conditions of women married to, or the children of loggers and millworkers whose lives were deeply touched by the economic cycles of the industry, and the conditions in single industry logging towns and in the camps or mills. Other women interviewed were spokespeople for labour or community-based organizations and worked on issues and campaigns of parallel concern to the "women of wood."

The Lull Before the Storm series includes a dramatic portion (part 1 and 2) and a documentary portion (part 3 and 4).
