Good Clean Fiction

Good Clean Fiction is a montage of narrative and non-narrative tableaux which show political, ethical and representational values being formed and dismantled. The Sandinistas are framed for killing dogs in American cities, the financial system collapses when an employee reveals its theoretical contradictions; a man reading a newspaper slips on a banana peel which then spins off to Mars, offering redemption on earth; a mechanic fixes the brakes on a car. Within these scenarios, values of good and bad encircle accompanying qualities such as clean and dirty, fiction and non-fiction, humour and seriousness.
