A woman moves through a series of institutional spaces - domestic, school, church - ritualistically acting out a succession of unremarkable actions, tasks and chores. These carefully composed scenarios are simultaniously intimate and distant. A strangely oppressive mood prevails and finally in the only articulations heard in the tape the woman offers a short prayer in Hungarian during confession, framing her behavior with resonances of guilt and the false hopes of redemption.

It is through this empty passage of tasks, chores and ritual that the work attempts to examine the construction of subjectivity and the notion that the subject is defined through various socio-cultural determinations.
