Dans le bleu-gris de l'aube, deux guerriers s'affrontent dans La Capoeira, une danse cérémonielle de combat afro-brésilienne, chorégraphiée par Jelon Vieira. Puis, dans la lumière montante, des hommes et des femmes dansent leur purification pour finalement rendre hommage à leur dieu Oxala dans une lumière éblouissante. Jelon Vieira et les danseurs de Dance Brazil nous conduisent au coeur des trois rituels, dans un film empreint de respect.

In the blue hase of dawn, two warriors challenge each other to La Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian ceremonial dance choreographed by Jelon Vieira. As the lignt intensifies, women and men, moving in a cathartic manner, attempt to purify their body and soul under the blazing luminosity, to finally pay homage to the god Oxala. With a film of a rare sensitivity, the spectator is led into the heart of these rituals.
