The central character reflects upon her trip to China, and the use of photography in capturing memories and validating experiences. Fragments of time, and conversations with her lover, are interwoven within the context of memory and desire. The story offers thoughts and ideas on external and internal journeys and is meant to be contemplative rather than explicit in its presentation. The narrative is a blending of text by Susan Sontag, Stephen Spender and David Hockney as well as additional text by Margaret Moores.
