Ambiguous Landscapes is a made from travel footage in the north and south, Iceland and Senegal. The tape plays with the idea that landscapes - their colours, their temperatures, as well as natural land formations - can mimic imbalances in a relationship, between lovers, or between a colonizer and a subject. The piece plays with an ambiguity of sounds mixed with disparate "post-card" images of eerie landscapes, creating a loose travelogue around emotions and power, showing my own ambivalence about the experience of "touring".
