TAPECODE 9237

The dance exposes the subconscious repression of emotion within a white painted Butoh Dancer through a series of surrealistic scenes depicting events during WWII when people of Japanese ancestry living in B.C. were forced to leave the coast. This tape is a document of a multi-media performance which utilizes slides and traditional Japanese drumming.
