Sometimes

Sometimes is an experimental video which explores the relationship between the imaginary and the reality of waking consciousness. Using gibberish and a crafted "mythological" narrative, Hemmerick establishes a dialogue between the grammars of English and a nonsensical language thereby providing the viewer with insight into human subjective consciousness.

Employing the techniques of collage, photomontage and slide projection Hemmerick allows the viewer to come to terms with her or his perceptual dichotomies. This video reflects Hemmericks's interest in synaesthesia or poly-modal sense perception. In addition, it portrays a refreshing breath of humanity - one of love and compassion.
