Earworm is a story about a young Canadian who returns to discover his roots in the former East Germany. On his arrival, he finds a town gripped by a mysterious affliction. No one can give him a straight answer until he meets up with a group of anarchist Karaoke enthusiasts that not only suffer from the virus but have learned to love it. Slowly, our hero realizes that he too has become infected with this affliction that causes a strange addiction to the throbbing beat of Karaoke music and a taste for sucking the inner ears out of unsuspecting victims.
