HAND
1994, 1:21
Expression by hand combining different sounds. Sometimes a hand looks aggressive and sometimes sleepy. This is another body language. Hand language starts consisting of rhythms, and the perfect rhythm which a hand desired is broken in the end.

SABIO IN THE AFTERNOON
1994, 1:03
When I played back the videotape of my cat, Sabio, my father found that the little tiny thing on his nose was not snot. This videotape expresses how normal life can be interesting with a lot of discoveries by using a camcorder.

A SHOW
1994, 1:00
Adele Brown, a technical advisor at SUNY
Binghamton took out a stopper in a videotape cassette for me. Without her, I could not pull out the tape from the cassette. In this tape, I wanted to show how the meaning of a word would change when it was applied to visual information.

A DAY
1994, 00:30
After working hard all day, we often do not really know what we end up with and we go straight to bed repeating the routine everyday. This short video expresses the irony toward the society in which human beings are losing our humanity instead of focussing on getting money.

DIVERSITY
1995, 2:20
After coming to the USA, I learned the word “African-American.” However, when I think of the political correctness, I have never heard words such as “English American,” or “Finnish-American” This tape is my small trial to deconstruct the majority into minorities by giving names. I prefer to be called “Complicatedly-Mixed-Japanese.”

BEFORE WORDS, AFTER WORDS
1995, 3:00
I like analyzing the meaning of words, but at the same time, I do not believe words very much; I believe something deeper than words. If I lost all of my identities such as being Japanese, being female, what on earth am I? This tape is the answer to my question. This tape is me.
