Frozen Monkeys is a documentary of a first time director and his film Badlands. The documentary was made during the winter of 1995-96 in the Edmonton area. Badlands is in the western genre and largely grew from the director's personal family history. In Frozen Monkeys we meet some of the main people in the production, witness the brutal weather conditions in which the filming took place, and share some of the inner thoughts of the director - Bill Dawson - leading up to the premiere.
