Girls With Opinions is a video by Gisèle Gordon made for the blahblahblah: (re)Viewing Québec video collective to raise money for the Québec Legal Defense Fund. Shot at the Summit of the Americas in Québec City in April 2001, it inter cuts visuals of passive, peaceful protest and a menacing audio soundscape with the commentary of four local thirteen year old girls. The girls‚ blithe, somewhat giddy interpretation of what the Summit means to them is a distilled example of how simply most public opinion is formed.
