This was made on Boundary Road which is the dividing line between the City of Vancouver and the City of Burnaby. From a moving vehicle, the camera records each side of the boundary along its length, in a north-south direction (Part 1, City of Vancouver) and then in a south-north direction (Part 2, City of Burnaby). Both sides are a similar mix of residential, commercial, industrial and recreational properties - the visual difference between the two sides is unremarkable. The name, Boundary Road is the only indicator and reminder that each side still has distinct municipal authority. As is evidenced in other large cities, however, with urban growth and expansion there follows the amalgamation of municipalities. The video is meant to be a visual indicator of the eventual evaporation of the city boundary and its function.

The two parts of the video are to be screened simultaneously either on two monitors, side-by-side and 180 degrees to one another, or in an installation in which the two parts of the videos are projected onto two opposite walls of a small room.
