Annie et les Rois-Mages

1988, 15:00 minutes, B&W, French - english sub-titles

Annie et les Rois-Mages, Josettes Bélanger's first work, is a lyric essay in black and white. It is also a discourse on language and the difficulties inherent in discussing love. The work is intended to be a pause, a space, a reflection where sound and images act as a counterpoint. Annie is alone. Through her memories as a child and as a woman, she explains love to herself and during a surge of utter tenderness she attempts to find happiness and peace.

Essai lyrique,
