Drift is the first collaboration between video artist Nik Forrest and musician / composer Jackie Gallant. Audio and video material gathered during explorations of Montreal formed the basis for collaborative experiments and interactions.

The space of the city (like that of the body) can be understood as socially produced and inscribed with meaning. The inscription of space creates the potential for its re-inscription, reoccupation, remaking and re-use. We make and are made by the places we occupy and move through.
Drift explores places and moments where the city's official order is interrupted and the usual meanings break down.
