The video highlights the distance and closeness one feels with the media images of war in comparison to a peaceful suburban Canadian upbringing. The unrequited love the narrator feels for the soldier lying in a forest resting between combats demonstrates the feelings one has when the see soldiers and bombs dropping one television. Watching many hours of the war in Iraq on television inspired this video.
