This work is part of a single channel video series called Passing Through.

In
Walking in Chinatown I videotape myself walking in a place that is culturally specific. I appear to fit in but I seem displaced.

A lot of my video is done in a single take, with very little, if any, editing. Each video in this series was recorded in a single take. The single take approach allows me to be both an uninterrupted observer and observee in my work, and enables me to directly confront questions around identity, identification, and display both in a personal and public way.

The entire series is available as a continuous presentation, uninterrupted by credits, upon request.
