It is fascinating to observe how popular films of the forties and fifties invite the viewer to willingly suspend and re-establish belief several times in the course of one film. The singular of seeing looks at an example from the Egyptian film industry to observe this complex system that capitalized on the intricate interlacing of elements of evidence, or documents, within a film's narrative.
