Window [on East 11th St.]
2004, 02:50 minutes, colour, English
TAPECODE 829.03
Window is a piece about thresholds, spaces and the ability / inability to move through and between them. Sometimes the transition is smooth - shifting in and out of focus seamlessly at other times it is violent - a harsh and abrupt cut in the duration and flow of time, and space itself. Memory too functions in the piece as people and places inscribe themselves into the space I occupy and represent. In all, it is a reflection of living over the past 9 months in the East Village community of downtown Manhattan.
