TAPECODE 750.01

A short journey to an island First Nation through the eyes of an Island girl who is absolutely amazed at what she discovers.

The filmmaker takes the viewer on a boat trip to Chimnissing First Nation and reveals its unique history with spectacular visuals, re-enactments, and introduces some of the people who help the filmmaker in the telling of it's story. "We have it all, white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and a rich marine heritage (great shipwrecks). The recorded history of Christian Island dates back to the Huron Indians and Jesuit ruins at St. Marie II, erected in the 1600's. The Island is home to the Beausoleil First Nation Ojibway people."
