Repair reflects on the impossibility of fixing the truly broken. It shows two hands, busy at work, trying desperately to mend, to repair and rebuild. More hands follow immediately behind, in the wake of the first. These are the mess makers, the ones who brought about the chaos, the ones who are responsible for this destruction, the ones who never learn from their mistakes.

Repair is part of Why Always Instead of Just Sometimes, a selection of 12 short works about aging, breaking down and reparation. They are works that describe our need for intimacy and our fears of exposure. They are always, when we really wish they were just sometimes.
