Waking from a disturbed sleep, caricatures of the curator and the neurotic artist-filmmaker ponder the current and historical predicament of the moving image: where it belongs, who it is for, when it articulates best. The edit, framing and sound design seems to respond to their tug-o-war of words, and the characters themselves are prone to the playback of another's words, clutching at their video cameras and headphones in the hope of finding the greater point. Hearsay is rewritten, video-approximated and misheard from an emailed conversation between Benjamin Cook and Steven Eastwood. The tape was made for the TANK TV compilation in the UK. It is an interview as intervention. Although the performers frequently point, it never makes that much of a point itself. You may well have heard the conversation before...�
