Lady Justice and the Epic Burden is a made-for-camera performance about the tyranny of white sugar. This heroic and mythical video features Lady Justice, The Seven Vices/Virtues and Rose Man who are a well-known Vancouver performance ensemble whose work spans parades, commemorative ritual performances, as well as art gallery and cabaret performances. Lady Justice and the Epic Burden employs red roses, black umbrellas and a wheel barrow to create a modern dance ritual and social art-aktion framed in the late summer Dutch Light reminiscent of master’s oil paintings.
