Insert Coin takes select Super Nintendo games and isolates only the tranquil and picturesque moments of landscape in them. By removing the characters, sound effects, and any signage, only the ubiquitous silent moments of nature are present. The footage appears to be oddly familiar and nostalgic yet completely detached from it's original video game source. The nature of video games insinuates activity therefore, there is a feeling of anticipation for an exciting event, which never occurs. The viewer is then left in a type of meditation.
