FLOATING is a musical video made in tandem with the eponymous song performed and written by the entity Derwatt, comprised of Kevin Dowler and Andrew James Paterson.
This video takes original drawings made in Photoshop and animates them using options available in Motion 5.
FLOATING oscillates between holding on still images with minimal motion and breaking up sometimes the same images. This video is camera-less. Sometimes all the images appear to be underwater and sometimes they appear to be cruising above the lake referred to in the songs lyric. Something smells rancid near the cottage, at the bottom of the lake, which is a fake lake, so what could that odor be? And just why do the police have to get involved? What exactly do they think they are likely to find?
