NARRATIVE is an experimental video reflecting my interests in colour-field abstract painting and language. It consists of still images composed in Windows Movie Maker involving the recurring word ‘and’ against monochromatic backgrounds. The entire videotape is edited in the same rather slow steadily predictable rhythm. Both the text and the backgrounds shift colours, and background colour shifts and introduced by means of pixilated dissolves which introduce secondary and other colours into further abstraction. The videotape concludes with the alteration of one letter in the recurring word “and”.
