This experimental film explains the message of the Dish and One Spoon Treaty and what that message means to one Anishnabek family. This films shows how Anishnabek ancestors work through the people to maintain and strengthen our individual sovereignty to the land and its resources. It shows the importance of meaning of this message and how it is passed from one generation to another.

The film was produced during Saugeen Takes on Film, a Film Farm and Fabulous Festival of Film workshop with artists, storytellers, knowledge keepers, and youth from the community. The workshop was held in collaboration with Saugeen First Nation Employment and Training Centre, and funded by the Ontario Arts Council and SSHRC through Archive/Counter Archive.
