María José Alós lives and works in Mexico City, has participated in several international film festivals including Morelia International Film Festival, Women in Film and Television, Guanajuato International Film Festival, Short Shorts Films, Jornadas de Reapropiación, 60Seconds Kortfilm Festival, MEX – PARISMENTAL, and AluCine Latin Film and Media Arts Festival (2005). She has exhibited in many solo and collective shows in Mexico, Austria, Spain, Belgium, and Germany.

She teaches art workshops and develops her own projects and investigations supported by different grants. She also Coordinates Jornadas de Reapropiación, a found footage and non fiction film festival in Mexico City.
