Collaboration between Valerie LeBlanc and Daniel H. Dugas.

Pluridisciplinary artist and writer, Valerie LeBlanc has lived and worked in many regions of Canada. She has presented, and participated in residencies, and workshops - throughout Canada, the United States, France, England, Italy and Australia. She graduated from the Glass Department of the Alberta College of Art + Design, 1984 and received her MFA, Time Arts Program, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, IL in 1993.

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Valerie taught in the Media Arts + Digital Technology Department at the Alberta College of Art + Design, in Calgary, Alberta from 2001 – 2007. Currently based in Moncton, NB Canada, she works independently and in collaboration with her partner Daniel Dugas.

Daniel H. Dugas is a videographer, poet and a musician. He graduated with an MFA, Time Arts Program, from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, IL 1993. He has been an artist in residence at: the Banff Centre - Visual Arts and Music Department; Sculpture Space, New York; EMMEDIA, Calgary; A.I.R. Vallauris, France; and at the Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney, Australia.

Focusing on social and political aspects of the world, the production of meaning and language is central to his concerns. Dugas outputs several projects each year. Recent works include: Camille, Andrew, Katrina et cie - a feature length performance based video; and Talk Mainstream, a Twitter based interactive web project exploring the mechanics of language and spam.
